  13. I need two Internet e-mail utilities that it seems someone would have thought 
  14. of already.  I need to access internet e-mail, but do not have TCP/IP and/or 
  15. Winsock programing abilities.  A couple of simple utility programs as described 
  16. here, it seems, would be an 'ultimate' tool...

  18. POP Tool
  19. - work completely from the windows command line (can be executed by other 
  20. applications)
  21. - no visual display in Windows
  22. - performs its task and exits
  23. - accept parameters (server, userid, password, file1, file2)
  24. - Query the POP mailbox of 'userid' on server 'server' and write any mail to 
  25. 'file1' and completion/error codes/messages to file2.

  27. SMTP Tool
  28. - work completely from the windows command line (can be executed by other 
  29. applications).
  30. - no visual display in Windows
  31. - performs its task and exits
  32. - accept parameters (server,file1,file2)
  33. - upload outgoing mail file 'file1' to SMTP server 'server' and write 
  34. completion/error codes/message to 'file2'
